Started the hike around 8:46 am. Weather was cloudy and a bit cold. We had a few layers on due to it being a bit cold but once we started the hike, we got warmer. Trekking poles are a must, some areas of this hike are slippery with loose rocks. I lost my balanced when I stepped on a pile of rocks and my poles and boyfriend helped keep up. Once we got to the summit, we had the peak and views just for the two of us. We took pictures, ate lunch and took all the beauty that mother natures offers. I truly enjoy being outdoors and being away from all the craziness life throws at you. Sometimes all you need is a day of peace. The highlight of this hike is finding a tortoise at the end of our hike. I could not believe that I stopped this creature on the side of the trail.
