BLACK HAWK on the way DOWN

What a lovely hike. The first 3/4 of a mile or so are on a really fun technical single track, the rest is open fire road. Got to the trailhead about 9:30 am on a Wednesday, plenty of parking. Nice breeze on the way up, steady but reasonable incline. Gals I passed said they had seen a bear, but I wasn’t so lucky. Got buzzed by a Black Hawk helicopter on the way down, apparently doing some training flights or something. This was my first time in the area, I’ll definitely be back!
