Beautiful day up on Cucamonga Peak.  Mountain forecast had the peak temps in the mid 50's, but it felt much much warmer up top.  It was quite hot hiking on the way down.  Typically I can make the hike with 2 liters, but for some reason, this hike, ran out about 2 miles from the parking lot.

Condition wise.  No snow up until Cucamonga Saddle.  Much different conditions than 2 weeks ago when I did Ontario Peak, and it was covered in snow from the saddle to the peak.  Now much of it is melted off.  There were very few areas on the trail that did still have snow on it.  Not difficult to cross at all, and didn't need any special equipment.  I would say all of the snow from the trail should be gone by next weekend if not in 2 weekends.

Bugs are out in force, and so are the rattlers.  So watch out for that.

One stream that was flowing 2 weeks ago, was dry this trip.  Also, the big waterfall at just past the 2 mile mark is noticeably smaller, and will probably stop flowing in the upcoming weeks.  Even the natural spring at close to the 3 mile mark was not running as hard as 2 weeks ago.

Overall, don't underestimate this hike.  It's getting hot up there, so make sure you take plenty of water.
