The trail conditions are great for the most part. There are some places were people have made a second trail and that can be confusing. But what is annoying is to encounter a good number of hikers who have no trail etiquette. This can be dangerous, specially where the trail is narrow and dangerous.
One can feel the heat on the parts of the trail that are exposed. There were moments when a cool breeze made me feel alive again. It is important to bring plenty of water, it can get very warm and dehydration at that altitude is a recipe for disaster.
I got lost just before the scramble begins & I ended up climbing huge boulders, and going around for what seemed an endless climb. A sign to the easiest path to the top would be very helpful and possibly prevent bad injuries. It was the same on the way down off the peak. I could see people feeling lost and afraid to get hurt.
It was quite an experience this time. I hiked this trail last year, but I encountered experienced hikers that guided me and others on a safer path to and from the summit.
Once at the summit, we have 365 views!!! Just spectacular!!! No wind, so no risk off falling. An amazing hike in a beautiful warm day!!!
