Cucamonga Peak via Icehouse Canyon Trail

Somewhat challenging and lengthy (for me) trail but very enjoyable.

Started early at around 6am to avoid most of the difficult heat during the uphill. I went through about 4 liters of water since it was still a pretty long and hot hike overall.

Some of the trail can be a little difficult without trekking poles but there aren’t too many spots that would benefit much from them otherwise.

The bugs were more than manageable although there was a small portion (about 45-60 minutes in the late morning) that got unbearable to the point that I had to use a bug head net. The rest was fine with just some bug repellant.

No issues parking since it was a weekday.

Looks like I managed to just barely make it up the trail right by one day right before the Vista Fire started to gain traction in the area.
