  • We carpooled to the trailhead, and started hiking at about 6am.  The May Gray/June Gloom was in full force so the temperature was pretty cool until we got above the marine layer near the top.  On the way down, the marine layer was burning off almost as fast as we were burning up the trail trying to get back in the clouds!  We finally caught up with the receding clouds.   What a relief!
