Went up Friday with a friend. I would not want to hike this in the summer as the whole trail is exposed with no shade. The trail was in good shape with mud in just a couple spots and a few small patches of snow just off trail near the summit, but that was before last nights rain. We only saw three other people the whole time; one person coming off the trail just as we started and two other people reaching the summit as we started to head back down. I drank just under two liters of water.
Alltrails said this trip was closer to eight miles with just shy of 2000′ elevation gain.
