Ah, Mount Baldy. What can be said that hasn't already been said? Just a great hike – perfect length, not too long, not too short, still challenging. We got out of bed early and were at the trailhead about 5:15 am before the sun was up and were able to beat a lot of the heat. The trail was in good shape and we were able to filter water a few times. Fairly crowded. Probably 20 people at the summit. Finished by lunchtime and still have the rest of the day to relax. Theres a reason this hike is so popular! Four to go…

I thought this hike was closed…am I misinformed?
Pretty sure. There were tons of people hiking it – probably saw a couple hundred people overall. The Ski Hut was open, etc.
