We ended up hiking further than planned due to road closures. But, it was a beautiful day, so we did not mind. The hike up Thunderbolt was intense as it is straight-up and very over grown. When we go to the top of Thunderbolt there was a sign that it is closed for conservation. I guess that explains the vegetation being overgrown. But should be noted for future hikers.

Overall my daughter and I had a fantastic time, found the hike to be challenging, but well worth it.
