With the year coming close to an end we on a sprint to finish all 6 peaks. We had previously tried hiking this trail but accidentally started the trail 5 miles away from the actual starting point of Cuyamaca Peak. Lessons learned. This time we got it right. It was a beautiful warm day. We Made sure to pre hydrate and bring lots of fluid. (Pineapple & Watermelon was packed for snacks). The hike was mildly difficult but not too bad. Halfway up I realized I should keep an eye out for rattlesnakes.  The bugs were an annoyance. I think I ended swallowing about 5 of them. Other than that the hike was so worth it.
