After the grueling descent from Nebo we were pretty happy to sit down and eat lunch in Provo. After refilling our waters and grabbing more snacks we headed for Kyhv Peak. Started the hike at 5:14pm. As we started up the canyon, we both wondered what steep trail awaited us. The lack of sleep and hard days had me wondering if we could really pull this off in 3 days. As we started the 2nd half of the canyon I became exhilarated again with excitement and the steep sections faded away. We made it to the summit at 7:20pm with plans to only enjoy sunset for a few mins before heading back for much needed sleep at the hotel. Thankfully neither of us can stick to a plan, staying till the last bit of light on the horizon and blasting music on the way back to the car. This hike was an awesome reminder from the summit of where we had come from (Mount Nebo) and where we were going the next morning (Mount Timpanogos). Sunset was beautiful from the top and walking through the meadows in the dark with the moon above was incredible.

I’ll be posting videos from the trip on my YouTube channel within the next month or so-themountainking44. Check it out if you’re interested
