This was my third time hiking up to Mt. Baldy, and my first time in five years, so I was really looking forward to it. Overall, the hike went well. The weather was perfect, with clear skies and almost no clouds, and there were plenty of people making their way to the summit. The trail was lined with trees and vegetation, adding to the experience. It was a tough climb, but I pushed through. Surprisingly, the hardest part wasn’t the ascent but navigating Devil’s Backbone. Some sections were quite sketchy, so I took my time. Still, the views from the top were incredible, offering some of the best vantage points to see LA County, Orange County, San Bernardino County, and even the ocean. It’s a fantastic training hike for tougher climbs like San Gorgonio or Mt. Whitney.
