Weather was pretty good. Started at 8 so it was slightly chilly but warmed up after we got started. Finished hiking at 3:30. My husband carried my 20 pound 8month old up to the peak and his mom (an avid backpacker) carried her back down to the parking lot. I said no bugs, but there were a few gnats right at the beginning when you're walking next to the stream, but they didn't bother me. One of the steepest hikes I've done and my hips and legs will definitely be feeling it for the next few days. There were so parts where it was difficult to tell what was the original path and what were the “switchback cuts” once you go past the saddle area so keep your eyes open for the correct path! In my opinion, pretty difficult hike, definitely harder than San Jacinto. Happy hiking! 6th peak done!
P.s. There was a cool cave area during the hike!
