Finishing the challenge…

I had wanted to hike Kay Benchmark out in Anza-Borrego, but my hiking partner hurt his foot, so I decided to finish the San Diego Six Pack of Peaks challenge. The hike up was uneventful, I kept a nice measured pace. Chatted with some folks at the summit, ate my PB&J, and snapped a few photos. However, the descent was another matter, both my knees began really hurting. I found a slow pace that did not hurt too much and worked my way back down (and up, this is El Cajon Mtn). But made it back to the car in just under 7 hours round trip. Now to recover and finish the SoCal Six Pack!
