Good god…I was on my 6th hike of three days. Weather was turning to cold and windy and was concerned about the rain. The peak looked ominous against the dark clouds. Off I went…legs burning from Fremont saddle, et al.
The “climb” was intense in parts and had me guessing where the trail was at times. Found my self up the wrong side of the draw st one point clinging to plants on a 60 degree shale cover slope.
once I back tracked and figured out the puzzle I made my way up the rocks to the prize of flat iron, the last and final hike! Woohoo!
