We went up the fire road to save time and man that fire road sucks. It's paved the whole way and just constantly up. Last time I did this peak we took a trail up to the top and I recommend that instead of the fire road. The road is good for coming down faster but going up is terrible. Great views from the top once you find the side trail that leads to the marker and sign.
