The views from the summit were some of the best I’ve ever seen! Miles .5-2ish were single track, rocky and eroded in some places. Going up and down those parts was not as enjoyable, but once the trail opens up to the dirt road it was a nice, gradual uphill. I saw 6 other hikers and about 15 off-road vehicles and dirt bikes, but everyone was considerate. Most of the trail turns are well marked, but not all of them so definitely recommend using all trails or another navigational system.
I started at about 7:15 AM, but I wish I’d started earlier to have more time to enjoy at the summit. A lot of sun exposure on the way up, but not as much on the way back down due to the time change. There was a nice breeze for most of the trail and any shade was welcomed!
