Although it was hot that day, temperatures were rather cool at higher elevations. Although  Little Round Valley campground is less than 2 miles from the summit, it felt like the longest stretch of the hike.

Hung out at the summit for a little, but started to see some clouds role in. About half way down the switchbacks, experienced a thunder and lightning storm. It lasted about 25 minutes.

Saw some other folks doing the challenge.
