Driving to the Cuyamaca Mountain Summit Trailhead is almost 90mins from San Diego. The drive was easy all the way on paced roads till the campground.Reached the parking spot around 5.30Am. Got a glimpse of wildlife in campground parking area.
I started the hike by 5.30AM, slowly started walking towards the Lookout Trail road through the campgrounds. Frankly speaking i didnt like my hike on the lookout road. Its not an interesting hike up the hill, reached the summit by 7.45. Did capture nice pics of the views around, and struggled to find the finsh point but few of the fellow hikers helped me with it. I spent around 30mins at the finish point capturing beautiful pics.
Really liked my hike down the hill. I took a different trail loop : Conejos Trail -> Azalea Springs Fireroad -> Azalea Glen Road -> Azalea Glen(Loop Trail) -> Campsite(Parking).
Took around 90 Mins to reach the parking spot. As mentioned the hike down the hill was good.
Look for temperatures on the specific day before anyone wanted to start Cuyamaca Mountain Summit.Carry more liquids.
Be safe and please keep the trails clean.
