Two Hikes One Day Part Two – Volcan Mountain

After hiking Cuyamaca Peak in the morning I headed to Volcan Mountain. The parking along the road was not too bad since several of those who had hiked earlier in the day had left so there was ample parking close to the trailhead. I went up slow. There were lots of people on the trail, some heading up and some heading down. The weather was sunny but it was more windy as I got close to the summit. The wind though was not too bad although I had to layer up. I took my photos, took a short break and headed down. I was surprised to see people still coming up on my way down as it was already late in the day. When I got back to my car there were fewer cars at the trailhead and it was still daylight.
