Another great day on trail! Arrived at the trailhead right around 0630 and headed out around 0640. Temps were in the low to mid 40 and the ground was a little damp from the previous night's lite rain. However, the trail wasn't muddy at all. Once in the higher elevations, the temps remained in the low 40's with a slight breeze. The bushes and Manzanita trees are a bit overgrown, and they were holding water, so my sleeves and pant legs got a little wet. In, fact, even without the moisture, I would recommend long sleeves and pants otherwise you can get pretty scratched up.
I had the summit all to myself and didn't run into any other hikers until I was on my descent. Two groups. A pair and a trio.
I dried up pretty well on my way down and temps had risen to somewhere in the mid 50's.
This was my second peak of the challenge. Now on to peak #3, Volcan Mountain
