WOW! What an amazing hike! One of my favorites of the 6-pack.

We had ideal weather- not too cold (or hot), no rain/snow/ice at all. There was evidence of icy spots as reported by other hikers, but we didn’t have any points that required spikes or anything more that a cautious step or two.

We stayed at an Airbnb in Forest Falls that was a three-minute drive to the trailhead, allowing us to start the hike (5 AM) with headlamps and get back to the car just after sunset- a 10 minute drive to get some really good Mexican food for dinner.

It was especially sweet to look out over some of the other 6-pack peaks that we’ve done with a sense of accomplishment and pride. 5-star views!
