Challenging hike up Mt. Diablo. Lovely scenery with a variety of terrain and views – prairie, wooded areas, and some rocky terrain. Amazing views from the summit, including snow capped Sierras!

Taking the Bowerman-North Peak connector was a mistake I will not make again. Very steep! It looked like the right thing to do on the map because it was shorter, but it was brutal.

The descent via Deer Flat & Mitchell Canyon Road is interesting because it felt so remote with very few other hikers.
