Started at the trailhead at 9am. A couple of spots on the way up that had been washed out, but not tough to pass through with careful footing.
Orchard Camp was a nice stopping point halfway up.
I would suggest not doing a strenuous leg day at the gym the day before this hike.
The top had beautiful views of the San Gabriels and of LA. Even Catalina Island in the distance! The rain a few days prior really helped clear out the valley.
You could see Baldy, Gorgonio and Jacinto in the distance. Nice cold beer and dinner at Delirium bar in town off of Baldwin st. 5 minute drive from the trailhead.
Pliny the Elder? Don't mind if I do.
Great day!
