Wow, what a killer of a hike! It lived up to its reputation. 4600 elevation gain, and that incline starting at at mile 4.5 was quite a climb up to the ridge. The creek was flowing pretty good, so we had to take off our shoes, socks, and roll up our pants to walk through. I still got a bit wet, but it felt good on the way back to put our feet in very cold water. It was a beautiful day, so we had great views of the snow-covered Sierras.
