So…Chantry flats is closed at the lower gate. Good luck if you hike from there. I chose the other side a mile away, Sierra Madre entrance. Says closed trail, but it’s open. Volunteer crews were out repairing the rain damage but otherwise passable.
Only one on the trail it seemed. I was out st 7:45, there were a couple people hiking to the Orchard campsite. Otherwise a great hike! I like the Sierra Madre trail a little better. It’s straight forward.
