Feel Good Hike

Hiked this trail with my regular hiking friends. The reservation ranger was early this time. Typically, we just left the parking fee in the door slot and off we go. He also checking the drivers license. Not sure if this is recent occurence with the fires going on but definitely our first. There was also a couple clean porta potties this time, which is nice since the existing restrooms always locked, at least, every time I hiked the area.

This was one of the best weather conditions I’d had in this trail. The sun was still up most of the time but the breeze helped a lot and had an enjoyable experience. The group, overall, felt great in today’s hike.

We also had celebratory muffins for the 3 january birthday celebrants as soon as we were back at the parking lot. It was concluded by having lunch at Dudley’s in Santa Ysabel.
