Six pack of Peaks: New England 2025

Bear Mountain

Weather perfect to me as it was cool and breezy. Roads and Trails were wet and squishy. Definitely prepared for getting soaked and muddy feet but didnt phase me. Trails I took Northwest Rd from parking lot up to the Appalachian Trail Southbound. There was some icy spots and minimal snow cover. Little slippery but pushed on up to summit. It was a good hike up to the summit.
Not a full 360 view but could see south, east and north. Blue skies with sun and some clouds. Met some CT AMC maintainers and chatted for a bit before we all parted ways. I would continue my journey Southbound on the Appalachian Trail to the Bear Mountain Rd back to the parking lot. Definitely a great hike with challenging points going up to summit but was worth it especially after not hiked in some time. Bear never disappoints.
