I was invited to hike with a group of badass hikers and climbers. Up the Ski Hut trail and a little break in the hut. Then it was microspikes on and across the Bowl and up the trail. The trail was covered with hard-packed snow and we probably should have switched to crampons at the top of the ridge, but we held off for a while.
It was blowing and going up top, around 60 mph. The wind actually blew us back a few times. We didn't spend much time on top, just enough for a couple of pictures.
It was a beautiful day. The snow was hard and icy, and it was breezy. It wasn't easy, but it was well worth the effort.
