Braving the Elements: Cold, Windy and Uphill
Also on this hike
My friends and I recently tackled the Volcan Mountain Trail, and it was quite the adventure! We chose a rainy, super cold, and windy day for our hike, which definitely added a layer of challenge to the experience. The trail itself is rated as moderate difficulty, and I can see why—there were some steep sections and varied terrain that kept us on our toes.
Unfortunately, when we reached the top, the fog rolled in, obscuring any potential views. It’s a shame because I could tell that on a clear day, the vistas would be absolutely stunning. Despite the weather, the trail was enjoyable, with a well-maintained path and beautiful surroundings.
Overall, it was a rewarding experience, and I would love to return on a sunny day to fully appreciate the views. If you’re looking for a nice trail that offers a bit of a workout, Volcan Mountain is worth the visit—just check the weather before you head out! ???? ???? ????️ ????
