From desert to mountaintop

The first descent from the tramway had me worried because I knew at the end of the hike I was going to have to climb it. And boy did I. The hike going to the peak was consistently uphill so it was never overwhelming. The final ascent over the boulders just needed some slight rests for the altitude. I got to the top in about 3.5 hours. I got back down in about 2.5. The weather was perfect at about 65 degrees F with patches of snow here and there but nothing requiring cleats.
