Weather forecast, incorrect. Parking an issue
Beautiful day to do a hike. But the weather forecast was totally off. Supposed to be high 70’s, very slight chance of rain, low pressure system. By the time I was down around 1 pm, my car read 91 degrees at the trailhead, 98 when I got down the hill into Claremont. So hot, my national parks pass melted.
Parking. Got there at 5:45 AM. Had to park on the slope side. By 5:50 AM, people had to park on Baldy Road. So get there super early.
Trail is in great condition.
Bees. Previous posts were talking about Bees on the summit. I saw a few bees, but they really didn’t bother anyone.
Also, in the photos. I put a before and after of the burn scar from the Bridge Fire. It really did a number, never seen a mountain side so barren of vegetation.
Video of the hike.
