Mission Peak #27: Above the Clouds, Beneath the Breeze
Also on this hike
Mission Peak #27 this morning! Got to the Stanford Ave trailhead around 6:45AM and the lot was already full. Parked nearby on Vineyard Ave and started the climb under a blanket of cool, low-hugging fog. Hit the classic inversion layer partway up, and then boom—clear skies, sunshine, and a stunning sea of clouds below. Always a surreal feeling to hike into the sky and leave the gray behind. The summit was calm and clear, the air cooler than recent hikes, and the trail’s still holding up well. One of those magical mornings where nature shows off just a little.
