Great spot for a lookout tower!

Well maintained trail and loved the stone stairs along the way. Was concerned about the 85°F forecast but thankful for cloud cover at just the right times and the breezes were perfect. Could see the painted desert, Oak Creek Canyon, Sunset Crater and all of Flagstaff.  Enjoyed watching the trains going east and west. Amazing how the flora changes with the elevation gain.  An overall fantastic hike. Thank you Social Hikers for the AZ six peak challenge. This is getting me out to see hikes away from the beaten path and challenging me to get off the couch!!
