Newly Opened Baden Powell

With the trail just opened again, after the recent fire, comes with a new parking management. There’s a separate $10 parking fee in the Vincent Gap trailhead if prefer to park inside. The few parking space outside still requires just the adventure pass.

We started a little late and we did not see much hikers going up but quite a bit going down on our way up, a mile or so to the peak. The remnants of the fire damage is very visible and quite a great reminder that a small spark can lead to such devastations.

No flag at this time but a good samaritan left a nice sign saved in the steel box and hopefully still there.

It’s little hot but felt good on the way back. After our post hike snacks, we headed to town to check out what’s going on in their Mountaineer’s day.
