Three for the Price of One: Deception, Lake and Penitente Peaks

A deceptively arduous trail, partially by my own choosing. Steep climb up through forest to Deception Peak. The ridge between Deception and Lake Peaks is quite daunting as a rocky exposed ridge. I found myself gravitating to the Skyline alternative route to avoid further triggering my acrophobia. Once on Lake Peaks, and with rain clouds moving in, I decided to push on to Penitente Peak and the broad shoulder descent to pick up Windsor Trail. Too exhausted to even think about Baldy, I made the long loop back to the trailhead. A very enjoyable circuit overall, and a good reconnoiter for the following day.
