What a great ending to the weekend!!! So the majority of the SoCal peaks are currently inaccessible so I came up to the bay to work on the NorCal Six Pack. Today’s hike started around 2:15 pm and it was about 50 degrees with intermittent clouds and a light breeze. I opted to take just my puffy and a beanie and set off on the trail towards the old radar station on Mt. Umunhum. To my surprise there was snow on the trail and as I got closer to the summit the wind was blowing at a good clip but nothing to worry about. Upon reaching the old tower I always love looking across the Silicon Valley and today there was snow rimming the valley to the South and to the East towards Mission Peak. I logged 8 miles today and the duration was right 2.5 hours. Next up Mt. St. Helena!
