Court of Manzanita and Piedra

The hike was incredible! The weather was perfect- a slight chill in the air most of the way. There were pretty high winds so at times I had to cover my nose and mouth with my buff…  and my hat blew off more than once! The rock formations and the gorgeous trail lined with Manzanita were breathtaking. I did catch a shot of about a dozen turkey vultures in the sky! Wearing long pants and sleeves is an absolute must on this trail. If you don’t, you will certainly get a bit scratched up. I drank a liter of water w/electrolytes before I hit the trail and almost finished a second one by the end of the hike- something to keep in mind. Also, there are no bathroom facilities so please practice good toileting hygiene and pack in/bring a trowel/pack out!
