I have avoided Picacho Peak for 30years. My fear of cables has now been concord! Trail starts with up, then down, then up, back down, Back up, the n finally down again.

Trail is about strength. Quite the mind, and move. This trail is like all the others …rocky. Plants and few. Birds are vultures , lark bunting, and hawks. Squirrels of course.

The day I was there, park was out of water. Water trucks came while hiking. My advice. Bring your own water. Especially, if it’s 96 degrees outside.
