I set out on a solo mission to bag Mt Wilson. I set a fast pace for myself. The trail was relatively easy for me the first half up until Orchard camp although the incline is up to first water is pretty intense but a trail I have been hiking my whole life. I started to feel home more between Orchard Camp to Manzanita Ridge and I only saw one other person on the trail. I hit ice and snow a Mt Wilson toll road. My micro spikes definitely came in handy for the last part of this hike. I spent some time up at the observatory just wandering around and taking photos before heading back down. All in all this was a great hike and one I felt safe doing solo.

Happy hiking!
