Beautiful spring day for a hike! Some of the trail is shaded, but trees and shrubs are only so tall.  My hiking partner didn’t put sunscreen on her hands/arms so she got sunburnt. It could have been as much my fault as hers since she is the novice hiker and I could have said something before the hike started.

Total hike time was estimated to be 5 hours but we took multiple breaks including a 40 minute lunch st the peak, and ended up with 6-hour total trip time. The last part of the ascent with some 45 degree, Class 2 rock scramble proved very challenging for novice friend, making it especially awesome to make it to the top.
