Started our hiking challenge in our native CT on Bear Mountain. It was a beautiful, 65-degree day, sunny and dry. Foliage isn't out yet, so it was warm and sunny the whole way up. Trail was in good shape, a few muddy patches, a few icy patches, but overall a good, smooth walk up. Lot's of good views near the top, and a cool breeze that felt amazing. We got started around noon, and crossed paths with many other hikers (two-legged and four). This was our pup Deke's first mountain hike! Very walkable trail for dogs. With an extended break at the top, the trip took about 4-hours.
