The weather was perfect – overcast!
This hike can be brutally hot in the summer months. It was nice to hike up Sitton Peak in cool overcast conditions. The trail was mostly empty, and the rains from the previous week certainly did a number on the trail conditions. There were many obvious signs where water had carved out portions of the trail.
