Spring is great. We hiked Mt Diablo in summer in the past and there was a lot of rattlesnakes. So we decided to do it in Spring and it was perfect. The temperature, the flowers, no snakes and wild turkeys! It was hard and the trail signs could be better but not too crowded and fantastic landscapes.
