Foggy and cool to start out. Dipsea and Steep Ravine trails were very pretty. Loved the entire wooded section alongside the creek. There was a variety of wild irises in the middle of the hike. The fog was partly burned off by the time I reached the summit (a bit before noon). The view from the top looking to Diablo (itself poking up out of the fog) and panning left was great. Visitor Center was closed but the Gravity Car display was open. The docent was HAPPY to chat… 😉 Took the Matt Davis Trail on the way back but was dragging by mile 13. 8 hours start to finish (including the talkative docent and a cup of coffee at the summit). 4 – 1/2 hours travel time.
