The “cube”

The trails were well kept wide and single track.  I started early before too much traffic on the trail and weather was cool but warmed up as it got later in the morning. Great views of the layers of clouds the covered the lower elevations.  The “cube” structure was amazing and one could imagine what it was like back when it was active. I enjoyed seeing the tie up post and watering tub area for the horses.

Heading back it became apparent it was a well traveled trail many hikers and a lot of mountain bikers some coming down the trail too fast and no warning to hikers. It was an easy hike and plenty of shade. Good training trail for other hikes with full backpack.
