So much rain! This is a beautiful and challenging hike – made all the more challenging by the deluge of rain. Visibility was 30 yards at points – and there were no views of downtown or the Pacific. No regrets though. It’s very green on both sides of the loop as you crisscross streams and hike around several waterfalls. It has a unique feel compared to Baldy or Cucamonga Peak. Also, at the top of Mt Wilson you’ll find observatories, a museum, a snack shop, and bathrooms (guided tours and snack shop available over the weekend). I’m not a big fan of re-entering civilization at the summit, but still a great hike.
