It was low 40s at the start around 7AM. Cool, but not too bad.
We had 12 of us for the start of the hike, though it spread out pretty quickly. The trail conditions were good – nothing too technical and no real problems.
Once we got up to the saddle, we were finally starting to warm up and stripping off layers. Of course, as soon as we turn a corner and get hit with some wind, we put some layers back on. At least it was sunny and pleasant.
Near the top, there were a few small patches of snow that had well-worn paths across, so it wasn't really a problem.
We missed the turn to the top because the sign was gone but fortunately, someone recognized our mistake and corrected us after a short .2 mile error.
At the top, we were treated to glorious views down into the valley. We could see snow on Mt. Baldy, Gorgonio, and San Jacinto. Wow!
