Parked next to the neighboorhood park. Hiked to the top and took a nice epic photo and proceeded to have lunch at the cafe up top at the summit. Happy to use the restroom and fill up my water bottle at the top too. Good thing we took an extended lunch break at top… by the time we got to the last 3 miles or so the sun was not beating down on us which would have been the case if we wanted to hike back down in a hurry. We found that during the times we took a break and there was no breeze that the flies/gnats were terribly annoying.
