Strawberry Peak was my first one of the challenge. The start of the hike is a nice stroll winding along the mountain sides but like most will tell you, the last half mile or so is a rocky scramble that will kick your butt. There's very little to no shade. Definitely a trail to start early in the morning to avoid the heat. I got to the trail head parking lot at 8:45am (later start than I would have liked thanks to LA traffic) on a Friday and there were 3 others cars. Even though I couldn't see downtown from the peak it was still an amazing view. On to the next peak!
